You are facing the Svobody Avenue the way to the crossroad at the Drapal restaurant, it is possible to depart the Pavelcakova Street to the right towards the Upper Square. On the right there is the Water Barracks, on the left there is, although can not be seen, the Queen Theresia Gate. |

The Theresa Gate was a part of the city fortification, built in 1752. In 1754, on the occasion of Queen Maria Theresa's visit, it was named after her. "Barracks by the water" from 1756 are remnants of the city fortification. |
